Up for sale here is this complete replacement lighting set for the Kenwood KR-6140 and KR-6140A. You will receive:
Five (5) warm white 8v LED fuse lamps (for the tuning dial/meters)Four (4) wired 4mm warm white 8v LED bulbs with black wires (for the Speaker/Mix/2CH/4CH lights)
One (1) wired 3mm warm white wired 8v LED bulb with red/black wires (for the tuning needle)
These are top-quality bulbs, and are the exact same ones I use when I rebuild vintage gear. These are top-of-the-line lights--I love using them! These are all plug-and-play, so no worries about adding resistors or anything.
You will need a soldering iron, wire cutters, needlenose pliers, a little heat-shrink tubing or electrical tape, and a Philips screwdriver. This is a slightly complicated job, so it may not be easy for a beginner.
Be very careful not to damage the tuning dial cord when you're soldering! If you wrap the dial cord in aluminum foil ahead of time, that will help protect it. Please see my pictures for details.
