Up for sale here is this complete replacement lighting set for the Kenwood KR-5150 or KR-6160. You will receive:
Four (4) warm white 8v LED fuse lamps (for the tuning dial/meters)One (1) wired 3mm warm white LED bulb (for the tuning needle)Eight (8) wired 5mm warm white LEDs (for the source lights and stereo light)
These are top-quality bulbs, and are the exact same ones I use when I rebuild vintage gear. These are top-of-the-line lights--I love using them! These are all plug-and-play, so no worries about adding resistors or anything.
You will need a soldering iron, wire cutters, needlenose pliers, heat-shrink tubing (and something to heat it with), and a Philips screwdriver. This is a moderately complicated job, so it's not for a beginner!
Be very careful not to damage the tuning dial cord when you're soldering! If you wrap the dial cord in aluminum foil ahead of time, that will help protect it.
